The Most Amazing Experience In My Life

Nearly two weeks ago now I returned home from Kona, Hawaii. I was there for just a week, but I can honestly say I grew more, learned more, experienced more, ate more (yes..that's true)...played more and met more like minded (positive, outgoing, big thinking) people in that week than I have ever experienced. Now, I've been to many conferences before...but this one was a conference with a difference.

I already had the attitude that life is for living (not working in a box), that there is really no such thing as a recession ("What recession"?) and I was already what I thought was a "BIG THINKER"...but masterminding, partying, dining and just hanging around the folks in Hawaii grew my mind, nearly to exploding point!

I'm totally jazzed about what I do...and totally jazzed about helping other experience the joy, laughs, freedom and successes that I experience.

Abundance and Prosperity - Why Me?

I'm been sitting here in my home office in New Zealand wondering why I'm the lucky one. Why do I get to have SO much fun in my life?

You know, I'm about to fly to Hawaii in less than 2 weeks...and I'm so very very grateful for this...and it really got me thinking about the aforementioned topic of "Why Me?"...

So I did some thinking, talking with folks who I respect and who are living a life of abundance and prosperity like me, and we came to the conclusion that we had just made a decision to be successful. It didn't just happen. We didn't just wake up one day and "viola, I'm now a successful entrepreneur!" No way! I - no one else -
I made the decision to be free of the corporate rat race. I made the decision to stand up for what I believe in. I made the decision to assist others in breaking free also, because anybody remotely involved in personal development, economics...in fact anyone that is breathing, can easily fathom that our monetary situation in this worlds is DIRECTLY related to the value that we add.

So, for me...that means living life 100% on purpose and being a shining example of what is possible. I have made a commitment to live life by my rules...

And this all came from a decision. Make a decision to be successful...that's all it takes.

MySpace

So, I'm absolutely NEW to MySpace...and I absolutely love it. This tool is
completely RAVED about by home business owners, like me and I can see why!

In a few short moments I had an account, had uploaded loads of pics from my trips around the world, had labelled them and had made the coolest (I think so:)) slideshow...Then after just a quick email it was on my website: www.LoveTheLifeYouLead.com.

So, I'm definately grateful to the MySpace folks who continue to come up with amazing new bits and bobs for us Home-Based Business owners to use.

Thanks MySpace!

What's YOUR Why?

Have you worked it out yet? What is YOUR Why? Why do you do what you do?

This is SUCH a great question! In the video below Tony Robbins, takes you through step by step what the six human needs are...I highly recommend taking 20mins to sit back and watch this video...grab yourself a pen and paper before you do...and take lots of notes. He really "hits it home" to you why you do what you do.

Ultimately there are 6 main human needs, and relative to what 2 needs you hold more highly, you drive towards certain things. The six human needs are:

The Needs Of The Personality

1. Certainty/Comfort - We all want comfort. And much of this comfort comes from certainty. Of course there is no absolute certainty, but we want certainty the car will start, the water will flow from the tap when we turn it on and the currency we use will hold its value.

2. Variety - At the same time we want certainty, we also crave variety. Paradoxically, there needs to be enough UNcertainty to provide spice and adventure in our lives.

3. Significance - Deep down, we all want to be important. We want our life to have meaning and significance. I can imagine no worse a death than to think my life didn't matter.

4. Connection/Love - It would be hard to argue against the need for love. We want to feel part of a community. We want to be cared for and cared about. Most of us settle for "connection" in our lives...because people are fearful of loving or accepting unconditional love from another.

The Needs Of The Spirit

5. Growth - There could be some people who say they don't want to grow, but I think they're simply fearful of doing so—or perhaps NOT doing so. To become better, to improve our skills, to stretch and excel may be more evident in some than others, but it's there.

6. Contribution - Contribute beyond himself. The desire to contribute something of value—to help others, to make the world a better place than we found it is in all of us.

I now work from home doing something that totally encompasses all the six human needs in the perfect balance. I get paid to grow (through personal development) and I contribute daily to others (by helping them do exactly what it is that I do and have done). Talk about gratitude.

Have fun watching Tony! Be sure to take notes.
